If you wear contact lenses always remove them before applying the eye drops. To apply, hold your eye open and carefully squeeze a few drops into your eye. As soon as you have done this slowly close and reopen you eyes to help spread the liquid over the eye.
In order to apply the eye drops to your eye lashes you will need to purchase additional applicators from a pharmacy. To apply, squeeze a one drop of the solution onto the applicator's tip, then run the applicator along your eyelash. Each applicator should be used for one eyelash only and immediately thrown away after use to avoid contaminatio

Fexofenadine (Allegra, Telfast, Fastofen, Tilfur) is an antihistamine drug used in the treatment of hayfever and similar allergy symptoms. It was developed as a successor of and alternative to terfenadine (brand names include Triludan and Seldane), an antihistamine with potentially serious contraindications. Fexofenadine, like other second and third-generation antihistamines, does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier, and so causes less drowsiness than first-generation histamine-receptor antagonists. It works by being an antagonist to the H1 receptor.

It has been described as both second-generation and third-generation.

BREAST CANCER

Methotrexate, abbreviated MTX and formerly known as amethopterin, is an antimetabolite and antifolate drug used in treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases. It acts by inhibiting the metabolism of folic acid. Methotrexate began to replace the more powerful and toxic antifolate aminopterin starting in the 1950s, and the two should not be confused with each other.

PharmacodynamicsPharmacokinetics

Methotrexate is a folic acid antagonist that inhibits DNA synthesis. It irreversibly binds to dihydrofolate reductase, inhibiting the formation of reduced folates, and thymidylate synthetase, resulting in inhibition of purine and thymidylic acid synthesis.

Lamivir HBV Tabs

Lamivudine (2',3'-dideoxy-3'-thiacytidine, commonly called 3TC) is a potent nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor (nRTI). It is marketed by GlaxoSmithKline with the brand names Zeffix, Heptovir, Epivir, and Epivir-HBV. Lamivudine has been used for treatment of chronic hepatitis B at a lower dose than for treatment of HIV. It improves the seroconversion of e-antigen positive hepatitis B and also improves histology staging of the liver. Long term use of lamivudine unfortunately leads to emergence of a resistant hepatitis B virus (YMDD) mutant. Despite this, lamivudine is still used widely as it is well tolerated.

Nicotex 2mg Chewing Gum

NICOTINE 2MG CHEWING GUMS

TYPICAL USAGE:  withdrawal.

SIDE EFFECTS: Hyperglycemia, increased blood lactate, hypoinsulinemia, epileptic seizures, sweating, respiratory arrest, tremor, hyperpnea, palpitation, sweating, tremor, faintness, paresthesias, pallor.

DRUG INTERACTION: Nicotine is known to interact with other drugs like insulin, papaverine (HCl), , theophylline. These interactions are sometimes beneficial and sometimes may pose threats to life. Always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required.

MECHANISM OF ACTION: Nicotine is a stimulant drug that acts as an agonist at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. These are ionotropic receptors composed up of five homomeric or heteromeric subunits. In the brain, nicotine binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on dopaminergic neurons in the cortico-limbic pathways. This causes the channel to open and allow conductance of multiple cations including sodium, calcium, and potassium. This leads to depolarization, which activates voltage-gated calcium channels and allows more calcium to enter the axon terminal. Calcium stimulates vesicle trafficking towards the plasma membrane and the release of dopamine into the synapse. Dopamine binding to its receptors is responsible the euphoric and addictive properties of nicotine. Nicotine also binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on the chromaffin cells in the adrenal medulla. Binding opens the ion channel allowing influx of sodium, causing depolarization of the cell, which activates voltage-gated calcium channels. Calcium triggers the release of from intracellular vesicles into the bloodstream, which causes vasoconstriction, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, and increased blood sugar.

Oflox Eye Drop

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic considered to be a second-generation fluoroquinolone. Floxin (branded version) had been discontinued by the manufacturer, in the United States, effective June 18, 2009, though generic equivalents continue to be available.
Ofloxacin is a racemic mixture, which consists of 50% levofloxacin (the biologically active component) and 50% of its “mirror image” or enantiomer dextrofloxacin. When levofloxacin disks were not available in early clinical trials, a 5-pg Floxin (ofloxacin –floxacin) disk was substituted. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) medical reviewers considered the two drugs to be one and the same and hence interchangeable.

Osteofos 70mg Tablet

Osteofos tablets 70mg contain alendronate, a mediator of bone turnover that is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis by increasing bone density, which reduces risk of vertebral and hip fractures in men and menopausal women; also in people using corticosteroid medication or who have Paget’s disease of bone.

Osteofos tablets 70mg are used to treat osteoporosis, to reduce the risk of vertebral and hip fractures in men and postmenopausal women, and to prevent osteoporosis developing in postmenopausal women who are at risk. Osteoporosis is the loss of bone mass resulting in brittle bones which can fracture more easily and is often associated with lack of oestrogen in postmenopausal women or following treatment with a corticosteroid, an anti-inflammatory steroid that can cause bone loss. Osteofos tablets 70mg are also used to treat Paget's disease of bone in men and women, in which the normal mechanism of bone turnover is faulty and bone structure becomes abnormal causing weakness. Osteofos tablets 70mg help to strengthen the bone structure making them less likely to fracture.

Osteofos tablets 70mg contain alendronate, which is a bisphosphonate; a synthetic chemical similar to the naturally occurring mineral in bone called pyrophosphate that mediates bone turnover, a normal part of bone remodelling, which is a dynamic process that allows bones to grow and repair. Alendronate acts directly on bone and binds to hydroxyapatite (the scaffolding of bone architecture), specifically at the site of bone resorption (the process for removal of old bone tissue), and inhibits the action of bone cells called osteoclasts that are responsible for bone resorption. Alendronate has no effect on osteoblast cells that are responsible for bone formation (laying down of new bone tissue). Osteofos tablets 70mg change the balance of bone turnover so that bone breakdown is reduced relative to bone building, which increases bone mass, making bones stronger and more resistant to fracture, which can be painful and cause loss of height if the fracture occurs in the spine. Although alendronate in Osteofos tablets 70mg begin working on bone turnover immediately, it may take several months before measurable effects on bone mass may be seen.

Osteofos tablets are available from Inhouse Pharmacy in 2 doses:
  • Osteofos 70mg tablets for once weekly administration
  • Osteofos 10mg tablets for once daily administration

Osteofos tablets 70mg contain alendronate, which is a bisphosphonate; a synthetic chemical similar to the naturally occurring mineral in bone called pyrophosphate that mediates bone turnover, a normal part of bone remodelling, which is a dynamic process that allows bones to grow and repair. This process of bone turnover is hormonally controlled and is increased by oestrogen and decreased by corticosteroids. During menopause, oestrogen production slows down and this increases risk of osteoporosis, the loss of bone mass, in menopausal women. Aging also causes bones to weaken due to loss of bone density, so that men are also susceptible to osteoporosis. Also low levels of testosterone can cause loss of bone density. Long-term use of corticosteroid medication (an anti-inflammatory steroid) can also cause bone loss. Osteofos tablets 70mg are used to treat men and postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, and to prevent osteoporosis in pre-menopausal women who are know to be at risk of osteoporosis; also to treat and prevent corticosteroid-induced osteoporosis in men, pre-menopausal women and postmenopausal women receiving oestrogen. Osteofos tablets 70mg increase bone density and reduce the risk of vertebral and hip fractures, which can be painful and cause loss of height if the fracture occurs in the spine.

Oxcarb Tablets

Oxcarb Tablets is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizing drug, used primarily in the treatment of epilepsy. It is also used to treat anxiety and mood disorders, and benign motor tics. Oxcarbazepine is a structural derivative of carbamazepine, with a ketone in place of the carbon-carbon double bond on the dibenzazepine ring. This difference helps reduce the impact on the liver of metabolizing the drug, and also prevents the serious forms of anemia or agranulocytosis occasionally associated with carbamazepine. Aside from this reduction in side effects, it is thought to have the same mechanism as carbamazepine - sodium channel inhibition (presumed to be the main mechanism of action) - and is generally used to treat the same conditions. Oxcarbazepine has recently been found to be associated with a greater enhancement in mood and reduction in anxiety symptoms than other drugs employed to treat epilepsy.

Anticancer

Imatinib is a drug used to treat certain types of cancer. It is currently marketed by Novartis as Gleevec (USA) or Glivec (Europe/Australia) as its mesylate salt, imatinib mesilate (INN) (formerly called STI-571). It is used in treating chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and other cancers. It is the first member of a new class of agents that act by specifically inhibiting a certain enzyme that is characteristic of a particular cancer cell, rather than non-specifically inhibiting and killing all rapidly dividing cells. In CML, the enzyme tyrosine kinase is stuck in the "on" position. Imatinib binds to the site of tyrosine kinase activity, and prevents its activity.
